Description

Vintage 78 rpm 10 inch three Track One Sided Private Recording record from the early 20th Century, featuring the ACTUAL VOICE of one of the Baha'i Faith's Luminaries, ABDUL BAHA!

Remarkable historical recording...Must date from the teens of the last century, I assume following Abdul Baha's visit to the U.S. in 1912...He passed away in 1921...

The record is in three parts, and is one sided...It plays well, with some surface noise due to wear/ abrasions and early recording techniques... The sage begins each selection by saying "Al Hamdu Lillah" in Arabic, "Praise Be To God"...and then proceeds to recite in a language that doesn't sound familiar to me...I assume it's Farsi... The record is in acceptable shape, VG or VG-, with slight soil/ wear/ and scuffs...Running time is probably 3-5 minutes total...

I have experience in shipping 78 rpm records, and this one would receive extra care...What an interesting artifact of the history of Religion! Feel free to email me if you have any further info or questions!
