Description

Pete Franklin (vo + pno, gtr, sbs): Casey Brown Bls / Down Behind the Rise.   RCA 20-0012.  "A" side is V++ with good gloss, light groove wear, clean wax and labels.  "B" side is V to V+, with closer to moderate wear.  Condition degrades slightly during last 15-20 seconds of both sides, probably from having been played on a cheap phonograph.  The last groove on side "B" is locked, but it repeats after the music ends.    Recorded 1947, sounds like 1937, except for the string bass.  Hard to find this record; was Franklin's only commercial release, although he did a "rediscovery" LP for Prestige Bluesville in the early 1960s.
