Schubert Symphonies 3 & 4 Kubelik Original Aust HMV OASD 418
The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Rafael Kubelik performs the Schubert “Symphonies No’s 3 and 4”. An original Australian stereo pressing on the His Masters Voice Label (OASD 418), the labels are cream with plum lettering, gold stereophonic flash and border, and a small fan shaped dog. The label on side one has a “sample record” sticker. The record is of immaculate appearance, and plays and sounds superb with some surface noise - this seems to mostly disappear after the first few playings. The heavy-duty English cover has minor wear only.
This review record is a part of a collection that originally was either played a few times for review purposes, (or not at all) and stored carefully and unplayed over the following 40 years. View my other auctions for more superb early classical records.
