Awesome collection of electronic sounds and atmospheres from classic late 70s/early 80s-era BBC radio & tv science fiction shows. With sound designs by Radiophonic Workshop residents Dick Mills, Elizabeth Parker, Richard Yeoman-Clarke, and Lloyd Silverthorne, made on EMS, ARP, and other synths in the Radiophonic stable. Cuts include Bugblatter Beast Of Traal, Golgafrincham Ark Fleet (Hitchhiker's), Dodecahedron Energy Beams, Marsh Men, Time Winds, The Master's Tardis Lands (Who), etc.

The BBC Radiophonic Workshop, whose members included Desmond Briscoe, Daphne Oram, Delia Derbyshire, Desmond Leslie, Malcolm Clarke, and Paddy Kingsland, remains a much overlooked British parallel to pre-synthesizer early electronic/musique concrete pioneers like Vladimir Ussachevsky, Otto Luening, John Cage, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Bernard Parmegiani, Tod Dockstader, Herbert Eimert, Pierre Schaeffer, Pierre Henry, Ilhan Mimaroglu, Henk Badings, Dick Raaijmakers, Rune Lindblad, and Hugh Le Caine, and their output would influence Brian Eno, Hugh Davies, and Aphex Twin. Packing - I pack professionally and with the utmost care drawn from years of experience trading vinyl internationally. I use new record mailers from Cameron Packaging (which I have determined are the best and most protective) reinforced with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap padding. All records are shipped with poly plastic sleeves and with the vinyl outside of the cover to prevent damage. All packages are completely sealed with strong packing tape covering all openings.
