Description
Some rather risque lyrics for the time (Depression Era), are sung by
Peggy Hill ("Was I Drunk, Was He Handsome, And Did My Ma Give Me
Hell") as Sid Peltyn & His Orchestra plays "Was I" on scroll label
Victor 24085.
This was recorded in New York on August 4, 1932 .
On the reverse side, Joe Haymes & His Orchestra play a novelty
tune entitled "Little Nell" with 4 members of the Orchestra doing some
banter.
This side was recorded on July 26, 1932, also in New York.
This 78rpm record is in excellent to excellent-plus (E to E+) condition.
Both sides are credited as by Elliot Everett & His Orchestra.
