CRB BOXSET

Chris Robinson Brotherhood's Betty's S.F. Blend

Record Description The Chris Robinson Brotherhood's Betty's S.F Blends:
Exclusive Record Store Black Friday Release, Only 2000 Released Worldwide. The 4 LP set includes 19 live tracks selected from Chris Robinson Brotherhood's five night stay in San Francisco's Great American Music Hall, December 2012.  Who is Betty? Betty Cantor-Jackson recorded, engineered, produced and mixed this wonderful box set. Chris Robinson said he felt blessed to have Betty's cosmic ears and prolific talents. "We're honored and inspired that Betty chose our farm to table psychedelic hayride as a vehicle to continue her amazing sonic work." Betty was the primary sound engineer and producer psychedelic rock band, Grateful Dead. She stated that this project was fun as hell and this was the first band to have moved her since Jerry Garcia's passing. Betty had a large selection of material to choose from in order to curate the four records of 'Betty's S.F. Blends.' There were 96 songs performed over the five nights and she had to be methodical about what she selected. She said, "knowing I had finite space on a vinyl record, I focused first on the performances, then on  time length and tempo, and of course you want to leave the listener wanting more."
The cover is designed by Alan Forbes, a long time artist who worked with bands such as, Black Crowes, Queens of the Stone Age and Rage Against the Machine. The cover is marbled with red black and gold. The 4 records are unique in their own way with marbled red and white dye. Included are deluxe liner notes with great photos from Neal Casal, who plays guitar to the Chris Robinson  Brotherhood. Also, a mini poster from one of the five nights shows, illustrated by Forbes.
