I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…

Sealed Jackie Lomax Sour Milk Sea RARER LA 1971 Apple Pressing, NM!

Of course, it bears mentioning that George, Paul and Ringo, plus Eric Clapton is Jackie’s backup band.  And it shows.

Most collectors are aware that the Los Angeles and Scranton factories handled the original 1968 release of Sour Milk Sea/ The Eagle Laughs at You.  And that by 1971, Sour Milk Sea was still in the Apple catalogue, but not for much longer. It went out of print just a few months into 1971 after a failed attempt to revive it by releasing a promo, which didn’t work.

The Winchester plant handled the 1971 reissue of Sour Milk Sea/ (I) Fall Inside Your Eyes.  A far smaller quantity was issued by the LA plant, which is the much tougher pressing to find.

Here’s one still sealed.

Vinyl: Sealed.  NM/NM.

Labels: NM/NM.

Sleeve:  VG+.  LA sleeve is still leathery and shiny, but does show signs of light wear.  Winchester sleeves were not as leathery, and were thinner.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
