Description
Here it is: the extremely rare 1981 debut album by Suzy Bogguss on Old Shack, simply titled "Suzy." This private press record came out 8 years before "Somewhere Between" on Capitol hit the shelves.
We haven't seen a sealed copy of this hit the market since 2005... there are very few of these out there at all, let alone unplayed copies. This copy is from the collection of a former employee of Capitol, and could possibly be the last chance to find one.
The record is still sealed in the original shrinkwrap and unplayed. There are no seam splits, hole punches or notches. The spine has no title or catalog markings (photo #11). The ringwear you see in the photos is on the shrinkwrap.
The front of the jacket has a faint wrinkle of a crease following the approximate path of the disc just along the front side at bottom left corner (photo #4). Turned over, the back of the jacket has a slight bend at the backside bottom left corner, visible near the "Printed in the U.S.A." text (photo #5). These are likely from the tension of the shrinkwrap.
The shrinkwrap has separated in a few places on the front, and at each corner, exposing the jacket to minor shelf wear (photos #6-10). The largest separation is on the front bottom right corner, which extends to the backside as well (photos #5, 8, 10). The rest are much smaller.
