Description

One of THE great sixties' pop bands, The Searchers, one of the original Merseybeat giants, were looking to reinvent themselves in the early seventies as pop fashion began to move on. They were by now on the RCA label and 'Desdemona'saw them moving into rockier areas, while the band-written B side, 'The World Is Waiting For Tomorrow' was much more of a traditional Searchers-style track with protest song elements to it. The record did not storm the charts. This 'demonstration sample' of RCA 2057 came to me for review purposes on release (26-2-71) and is in vg+ condition, exhibiting no spindle wear. Searchers' collectors will know that this single is in somewhat scarce supply, so all the more desirable.
