Description

Victoria Hazan was born in 1896 and died at the age of 99.  She was an "Izmirli"  born in Smyrna, She was also a "Turqina" a Ladino speaking Sephardic Jew.  She recorded records in Istanbul for Blumenthal Records, the largest music store in Turkey, and moved to the USA in 1920. In the 1940's she recorded for Metropolitan records in New York.  She gave concerts throughout the US in Sephardic, and Latin American  communities, and was much adored.  She recorded most of her songs in Turkish, but this record is in Ladino (Judeo-Spanish).   "Mis Penserios Gazel" and "Un anyo Ay.
This particular record in in excellent condition with only a few scuffs, and no graying in the grooves . Side B has a cool sticker on the label "The Balkan Record Store" located in the lower east side.  This record will be shipped in a special re-useable cardboard box.  Accordingly the shipping cost is $9.75.
