Description

 From Japan, this is Storyville PA-3117, Serge Chaloff  Serge& Boots/The Fable Of Mabel, a red label mono facsimile reissueof  a 12" Lp collecting two 10" sessions from 1954. Musicians featured include Twardzik, Russ Freeman, Boots Mussulli, Herb Pomeroy and Charlie Mariano; the cream of the Boston scene . The record, cover, labels, and insert are all near mint, showing almost no signs of wear. A wonderful copy of a beautiful piece. This record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This comes from the estate of Gerald Oshita, a San Francisco based saxophonist who lived and worked in Japan as well. Please check our other listings as we will discount shipping on multiple orders.
