Description
Very rare mint condition fiber 8x10 hand prints of legendary band Cactus. These were taken around the neighborhood near the Record Plant in NYC where they were recording and at the Fillmore East. Cactus were formed after Vanilla Fudge broke up and plans for Carmine and Tim to join forces with Jeff Beck, when that fell through the enlisted the best American guitarist they could find Jim McCarty who cuts his chops as a teenager with Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels along with another Michigander Rusty Day from the Amboy Dukes. Cactus became a hugely popular live act playing most of the major festivals that followed Woodstock, being the premiere heavy boogie band of the era. These prints were used for the Rhino reissues a couple of years ago and the record company left them with me when the project was finished, time to pass them along to a collector who appreciates this sort of thing.
