Seven BING CROSBY 78's -- Don't Fence Me In, BOB WHITE, Basin Street Blues

This lot contains seven 10-inch 78 RPM records featuring Bing Crosby, all on the Decca label. A couple of them (as noted individually in parentheses below) are considered "hot" enough for inclusion in Brian Rust's iconic Hot Jazz Discography. (But to be fair to the others, most of them appear to miss the book's cut-off date of 1942.) All seven records showed up for the first picture, then they are shown in pairs or individually, both sides, in the following order. 

Decca # 4065 -- "Shepherd Serenade" and "The Anniversary Waltz" by Bing Crosby.

Decca # 1483 -- "Basin Street Blues" and "Bob White" by Bing Crosby and Connie Boswell. (Both sides listed in Rust, with a recording date of September 25, 1937.)

Decca # 18708 -- "It's Been a Long Long Time" and "Whose Dream Are You" by Bob Crosby with Les Paul and his Trio.

Decca # 18887 -- "Night and Day" and "Just One of Those Things" by Bing Crosby.

Decca # 23364 -- "Don't Fence Me in" and "The Three Caballeros" by Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters.

Decca # 23716 -- "Yours Is My Heart Alone" and "The Anniversary Waltz" by Bing Crosby.

Decca # 29251 -- "Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep" and "What Can You Do with a General" by Bing Crosby.

They could all use a good cleaning, but are otherwise in lightly to moderately played condition, most of them still relatively shiny, but with varying degrees of visible surface wear. They all played through without skipping or repeating on my Audio-Technica turntable, with typical levels of background noise, including some pops and clicks and short passages of ticking. Because of variations in tracking ability, filtering technology and needle weights, I can offer no guarantees as to how well they will play on your equipment. Please check the pictures for any label damage or inscriptions or stickers.
