Description
This by now very rare 7" single was given to me by a friend who was a club DJ in the 1970's. He was given loads of promo singles by various record companies but as his club was mostly disco most of the 'better' music was given to me. At the time I was and still am into punk rock, but nowadays prefer CD's so this would be of far better use to a collector as it has been in a box for the better part of 30 years. Tested it this morning and both sides play OK although side 2 has as small scratch approx 10mm long.
It is a 7" single by arguably one of the best bands ever, save for the Vibrators and London......? It is an original EMI pressing (1976 - EMI2566) and has a lable on side A (see photograph) stating - FACTORY SAMPLE - NOT FOR SALE (see above) and is in the original EMI paper sleeve which has one little tear on the inner circle (see photograph). The rear of the sleeve is printed EMI Records Ltd, Hayes, Middlesex, England. Made in Britain. 45 r.p.m.
