The word "bootleg" conjures low-fidelity, poorly sequenced tracks, and a raw, thrown-together feel. The irony here is that this pre-Never Mind the Bollocks batch of Sex Pistols demos sounds slicker, tighter, and savvier than the legitimate album that succeeded it. These 15 tracks were cut with original bassist Glen Matlock and producer Dave Goodman. Released just before their debut album in 1977, these recordings -- nascent versions of many of the tracks from Bollocks -- were quickly suppressed. ~ Rovi Staff
