Description
Release Date: 2/27/2023 (Now Shipping) Pre-Order ends on 09/13/2022
In 2016, under one of his lesser-known monikers, The Piano Man, Shock G. recorded a series of improvised solo piano sessions. These would be the last formal recordings by this brilliant musician before his passing in April 2021.
Mixing sophisticated Ellington-tinged jazz with his trademark joyful hip-hop sensibility, it is with great honor that we present The Piano Man on limited-run 180 gram blue and black splatter vinyl.
Track List:
01. Round Midnight
02. Piano Man Blues
03. Willow Weep For Me
04. To Zion (extended version)
includes never-before-seen artwork from Shock G. (aka Rackadelic) and liner notes from Shock G's mother, father and Funk Legend George Clinton.
