Yes, there is no picture cover, just the green sleeve which itself looks from the same time. I came across it last year at a store that sells used records. Although…. My guess is that this copy was always coverless, due to the next sentence: As an added bonus: The personal 1979 phone number of their manager at the time, the legendary writer Legs McNeil (of Please Kill Me book, of PUNK Magazine), digitally blurred in these photos (by me), on the off-chance it still works??? You will get the real number, which you should really treat as an autograph, or just a cool piece of NYC punk history. You gotta respect your elders!
My guess is this very copy was given or sent to someone by Legs, in order to get Shrapnel a gig or writeup. By having no cover, perhaps Legs wanted to save one of the proper covers for someone who was going to be actually paying for one at a show or store… Pretty cool!!!
Shrapnel featured Dave Wyndorf (Monster Magnet), Phil Caivano (Blitzpeer), Dave Vogt, Danny Clayton, Daniel Rey (associated with Ramones)
Vinyl: (VG) .. nice play!
-Skips: none
-Surface Noise: minimal to none
-Scuffing: minimal… There is a very minor warp-looking divit that does not affect playback. Seems to be from the manufacturer. The song starts after it perfectly as long as the needle is dropped in the right place.
Cover: (VG)..
Ring Wear: n/a
Scuffing/Marks: n/a
Rips/Tears: n/a

*ALL* records are checked and listened to prior to listing. Any blemishes are recorded as I listen.
Kept in a smoke free home. Professionally cleaned.
Vinyl will be shipped outside of the outer sleeve to prevent spine damage during postal journey.
Any odd-seeming marks on the photos of the vinyl itself are purely glare from shininess of the vinyl reflecting back, all blemishes are otherwise reported and shown with a close up photo.
All records sanitized from a healthy home.
Ask me any questions you might have, and thanks for looking!
