Description
Tragically, Ginette Neveu, regarded as a violinist of the first rank with a brilliant career ahead of her, died in a plane crash at age thirty after only having made two recordings. Gloriously romantic with an amazing technique, here she plays the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the Philharmonia conducted by Walter Susskind, and also "Four Pieces" Op. 17 by Suk. An English mono pressing on the HMV Label (ALP 1479), the labels are red with gold lettering, large fan shaped dog and a groove. The record is of immaculate appearance and plays and sounds very well with a minimum of surface noise. The cover has a ring, and small creases along the spine edge - overall in very good condition.
