"Smokin Joe" Frazier's career was on the rise in 1970 when he recorded this funky single. He'sd beaten WBA Champion Jimmy Ellis, did it again with Light Heavyweight Champion Bob Foster, and would go on to MSG in 1971 in his first fight with Muhammad Ali, hyped as the "Fight Of The Century," which Frazier won, of course. Smokin' Joe cut a number of other singles but this is one of the harder ones to find. (The B-Side is sweet soul music.) Frazier disin't have a bad voice, but it's obvious that he music sales were boosted by his boxing fame.

*The signature on the B-side appears to be Joe Frazier's as I've compared with other things he's signed, but of course, I don't have a COA. The record is rare enough to carry the asking price anyway, so the signature is really just icing on the cake. Visually graded as VG+, comes in a plain paper sleeve.
