Signed by John Gary. Both sides of record good condition with some lint. Appears very playable. Extra 45-RPM record included (very good condition). Hey Spanish moonlight record will also be included.

Most of my friends are so "into" the rock scene that it's difficult to introduce them to the "older genera- tion" type music. Now don't get me wrong, I'm also "into" the NOW sound of music. I'm seldom away from the stereo or my radio (which is, of course, portable). I've been to almost all the rock concerts; but I've also been to see the shows of some of dad's friends, such as Vic Damone, Robert Goulet, Lou Rawls, etc. I've not only learned to hear, I've learned to listen. My friends have also learned through osmosis to dig the stuff dad sings. We learned to sit still and listen and began to understand what he was saying- naturally we had to dig it. I've heard young guys say to dad: "When we were kids, our moms and dads played your albums, and now we understand why. You say in your songs what our girls want to hear from us." We were driving in our motor home to Dallas from Florida where dad had been working- mom was sleeping and I was rapping with dad. He was telling me how he felt about mom and me and my four brothers- so I said: "Why not write it?" So he dictated (thought that best since he was driving!) and I wrote - and Constantly was born. The reason I like it so much, I know what a fantastic relationship my mom and dad share. Seems that Clouds and If were written for dad the high notes are his "cup of tea" and he reaches up and there they are just where David Gates put them. Sweet Caroline has a rock-gospel sound (great piano!); Let Me Be There is a toe-tapper and I dig the harmonica; and Top of the World makes me feel happy! The ballads And I Love You So and It's Impossible are so sincere and beautiful. The award-winning The Way We Were has one of the prettiest arrangements I've ever heard - and I like to hear the man's point of view. (If Redford could only sing!) Another "movie song" is The Morning After and dad holds a phrase for 20 seconds at the end (I counted!) I must admit that I especially like the last song-perhaps the best of all because, you see, I wrote it (with a little help from my friend my dad!). One of his friends, Bill Tilden, the famous tennis pro, once told dad: "Never change a winning game!" So in this album - as always-dad does what he does best-sing songs of love.
