Description

Trojan TR-646: Silver Stars "Old Man Say" b w/ "Promises" from 1968.  This Clancy Eccles production is one of the best skinhead reggae songs I have ever heard - even the b-side is killer.  No superlative could ever do this single justice.  It's one of Trojan's infamous and super collectible "600-series" releases, the collection most coveted by lovers of skinhead reggae.  This particular song is not well known, but is EXTREMELY rare and collectible.  Trojan did include these tracks in one of their fantastic box sets, so pick that up as well so you don't have to spin this.  A slightly better copy sold for $230 recently, so DO NOT PASS THIS UP!!
Vinyl is VERY GOOD+, with lots of gloss and just a few minor surface marks.  It still plays smoothly, with crisp and clear audio.  Unfortunately there is a small chip on the edge, which does not affect play in any way.  It would be EXCELLENT, otherwise.  I do not have the technology to post a sound clip, sorry.
Labels are VERY GOOD, with no significant damage, just a tiny spot of biro near the center on the a-side and some light wear near the center on the b-side.  Center piece is missing.
