Description
Sister Rosetta Tharpe Sister On Tour. One of a kind original 1961 Verve Records Mono test pressing. VG+ (Faint paper scuffs from decades of storage no scratches) very slight storage / dish warp that doesn’t hinder play. Play tested. Original blank sleeves with notes included. They are in bad condition from age.
This is a two disc test press, side A on one disc, side B on the other disc. One side of each disc is blank with a continuous groove with no sound pressed into it.
This is probably the only one that exists. This was the first one pressed. More importantly this might be one of the best documentations of this album that is left because much of Verve Records archive of masters was destroyed in a massive fire a few years ago when a building burned down at on of the film studios here in Los Angeles.
Ships well packed and protected in a standard Lp mailer with extra cardboard for protection, new white inner sleeves and poly bagged. SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS I HAVE A RARE ACETATE UP FOR AUCTION THAT CAME FROM THE SAME COLLECTION.
