• 10” Ricci Gamba and The London Philharmonic Orchestra - Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1. Cover is Good, very badly marked but no major splits. Vinyl is VG+ with a few light marks. DECCA LW 5352

• 10” Sir Thomas Beecham and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra – Berlioz. Cover is VG, marked but no major splits. Vinyl is Good Minus (G-) with lots of surface marks. PHILIPS SBR 6243

• 10” Sir Adrian Boult and The London Philharmonic Orchestra – Walton, Portsmouth Point Overture, Siesta, Scapino Overture. Cover is Poor with lots of marking, splitting, tears and unglued. Vinyl is VG minus (VG -) with a good few light surface marks visible. DECCA LW 5195

• 10” Vladimir Horowitz A Chopin Recital. Cover is Poor with marking tears and holes and creasing. Vinyl is VG with a few light marks visible. HMV BLP 1079

• Eduard Von Beinum Brahms Academic Festival Overture Opus 80. Cover is VG with some age related marking and creasing. Vinyl is VG minus (VG -) with some light marking visible. DECCA LW 5041.

• Beniamino Gigli Neopolitan Songs. Cover is Good with some age related marking and creasing and a split at the opening and a sticker on the rear and writing on the front. Vinyl is Good with a good few light surface marks. HMV BLP 1100.

Please note that none of these are in excellent condition and all will require a good professional clean. They are all marked in some way, as described, so please do not expect unmarked records.

Grading: I have used the British Record Collectors system as a guide. All records are graded by eye under a bright light. In some cases, where there is doubt, I will play them and say that they have been played to test. As a quick guide:

·         Mint (M) Record and cover etc. like new – I will probably never use this.

·         Excellent (EX) Record shows some signs of use – cover etc. have slight wear and/or creasing.

·         Very Good (VG) Record has obviously had a lot of use but no major deterioration in sound quality – cover etc. has normal wear and tear.

·         Good (G) Record has been heavily used and sound quality has deteriorated – cover etc. will be heavily scuffed, torn and/or discoloured.

·         Fair (F) Record is just about playable but will stick and/or jump – cover etc. will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Cleaning: As I do not have a professional cleaning / anti-static system I have not attempted to clean any of the records, preferring to leave that to purchasers to clean and remove static to their standards.

Photographs: Photographing the vinyl is proving difficult – there will be reflections of everything around. If in doubt please contact me or ask for further photographs to be uploaded.

Buyer Satisfaction: I have tried to be as honest as possible but record grading can be very subjective. However, if you are not satisfied I will give a full no quibble refund including all postage costs. Please contact me so that everything can be sorted to your satisfaction.

Posting: I will usually use the Post Office second class for items below 2Kg and a courier or parcel service for heavier items. I will post the next working day (including Saturday morning) – any delay after that is down to the carrier. They quote between 3 and 5 working days delivery time.

Combined Postage: I will combine postage whenever it is cheaper to do so. Please contact me for a quote before purchase or wait for an invoice at checkout.

Packing: I will pack the records between two sturdy pieces of cardboard taped together. This may not look as pretty as a purpose made box but it seems to work well in reducing the chance of the record moving in the packaging or the record moving in the sleeve.
