44.  Before you pick up the phone to call, let me assure you that the catalog number is correct.  It is very clear, both on the title rim and the run out edge.  This is a number series I'm not familiar with, and I can find no reference to it in any of the Columbia literature I own.  The cylinder is not announced, but it is a lively waltz played by what sounds like a studio band.  There are a few small spots on the run in edge, but they do not touch any of the grooves.  The rest of the record is quite clean, and there are only a couple of non-sounding visual traces of previous use.  The overall grade is a strong E-.  The box is also in excellent condition with a non-matching lid.  If anyone can enlighten me regarding this number series, I would be happy to hear from you.

Added information:  we have been informed by a collector/friend that this cylinder was part of an introductory set of cylinders offered as a way of promoting the "Twentieth Century" cylinder.  They were a bit more in cost and there were 7 or so in the set.
