Description
Very hard to find LP from the early days of stereo recording. A 1958 release on the Lyrichord label. It features Dave Van Rock in his pre-folk/blues years teamed up with noted ethnomusicologist Sam Charters and others in a skiffle band ("music played by a group of jazz musicians on home made instruments... In the absence of conventional instruments, they used implements close at hand, jugs, washboards, washtubs, wood blocks, tin whistles, kazoos, and anything else that was handy."- liner notes). The vinyl of this album in in very excellent condition - no scratches or abrasions and not played much. A rare state for such an old record. The jacket has moderate wear, soil and yellowing. The seams are 100% solid and intact. VG+
