Description
Slade - Slayed Original Recording Acetate From De Lane Lea Recording Studio 1971
De Lane Lea Studios had Major artists including the Animals, the Beatles, Herman's Hermits, Soft Machine, Queen, the Rolling Stones, Bee Gees, the Who, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Pink Floyd, Wishbone Ash, Renaissance, Electric Light Orchestra, Slade and Deep Purple record songs there, particularly at the studio's former premises at 129 Kingsway, Holborn, London, and at Engineers Way, Wembley, where Queen recorded demos in 1971.
This is truly a one off chance to own this piece of Slade Glam Rock history!!
It has a proof paper sleeve? of the Slayed cover with vibrant colours. Likely original as it even has spine details. Although torn as pictured. It still displays well when in polythene sleeve.
I have listened to the acetate through and it plays through nicely. It is possible that this has different mixes to the released album however im unable to confirm or deny this as I'm not a Slade expert.
Also I cannot find another acetate of Slayed LP anywhere so this is likely to be the only one of its kind in existance.
I have found some Slade 7" Single Acetate examples which have sold up to £1200.
This will be on a 10 day auction and likely to be much interest. So get your max bids in early to avoid dissapointment.
