This is a genuine BMG vinyl test pressing for the reissue of Slade’s classic 1983 album The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome, issued under catalogue number BMGCAT715LP. Test pressings like this are produced in only a handful of copies for internal QC checks ahead of full-scale vinyl manufacturing. They are never commercially sold, making them among the rarest physical artefacts associated with any Slade release.
The disc comes in its original plain white test pressing sleeve, with the catalogue sticker “BMGCAT715LP” on the label and a pink post-it bearing the handwritten reference “Kamikaze,” used during the production process.
