Small Faces - From The Beginning

(Decca LK 4879 UK LP 1967)

This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a front laminated sleeve which is printed by "Clout & Baker". It comes with its original generic polythene lined company inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has red "unboxed" Decca labels which are grooved also. It has XARL-7881-5B and XARL-7882-5A matrix numbers.

A great 1960's UK Small Faces LP. This was released by Decca after they moved to "Immediate". It is not that common. Sadly, this is a well played copy. However, the audio quality is Very Good+ to Near Excellent.

Sleeve: There are two very small (1 cm and 0.5 cm) tears at the rear sleeve opening. There are two extremely small 0.5 cm tears at the front sleeve opening. These do not notice that much. There is more moderate to moderate rubbing wear at the sleeve opening edges. There is some light or very mild fading to the "white" areas of the sleeve. There is a mild crease in the bottom sleeve-opening corner area. There is a finger-tip sized area of very mild indentation marks on Ronnie's face on the front. This can only be seen when angled in a certain way under a strong light. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear. Good+ condition

Vinyl: There are some mild, more moderate to moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are about 10 light surface hairline marks. These measure from 0.5 cm to 4 cm in length. There is a small area on Side 2 that has several of the hairline marks in close proximity. Overall, Good condition. The labels are in Very Good+ condition & show moderate spindle wear only. The company inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good to Very Good+ & Near Excellent in some places. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. There are a couple of light or very mild clicks on a couple of separate tracks on Side 2. Overall, a very serviceable audio copy. The music still shines through!
