COVER: VG++ ~Original Garrod & Lofthouse Die-Cut ROUND cover is very clean and vibrant with merest hint of wear. No writing, creases or tears. Tiny pinhole only. All hinges intact.

VINYL: VG++ ~Glossy vinyl has a very few, EXTREMELY FAINT surface hairlines only. LP plays a high VG++ to NM throughout; very clear and bright. Lilac IMMEDIATE labels are super-clean with very few faint, short spindle marks at very center; seen at angle to light.

This LP was bought when new from very first shipment to the USA -reserved in advance. As my ALL-TIME favorite LP, this has been my cherished back-up copy ever since I bought the American issue a few months later. It has sat well protected (stored upright) deep within my vinyl collection for over 38 years, with an additional piece of 12"x 12" cardstock behind it inside the outer bag. It has had perhaps 5 complete plays in all that time. I can no longer maintain double and triple copies of all my favorites. This week I went into places in my collection that have been absolutely out-of-bounds to sale, for the first time, and am now reluctantly letting go of some of my most treasured originals.

As I am sure you will agree, there was never before or after an LP quite the like of OGDEN'S NUT GONE FLAKE. As the standard by which all "fairy tale rock" albums will forever be measured; it is as close to perfect as any concept album ever came. (If heaven is perfection, then there is no "close" about it.) The round, fold out, multi-panel cover was far more than a mere gimmic and added immeasurably to the mystique and flavor of the LP.

NOTE on cover "pin-hole"
The only flaw to this exquisite piece of British pop-art; that is exactly what it is: a tiny -extremely hard to notice, hole from a pin. Yes, as a 16 year old kid, I actually mounted this one evening for exhibition as I had called a special gathering to turn all the mates on to this wondrous LP. There is no enlargement or tearing at the microscopic hole. No tape or glue was ever applied.

It can JUST barely be noticed at extreme magnification on your desktop in the 1/2" in from the rim ; TOP CENTER on front cover. Otherwise, it's pretty well invisible in the photo.
