Description
This item is a small lot of 10” and 12” x 78 rpm records by Billy Golden, an early 1900s monologist best known for his stereotypical and unflattering “Darky stories.” All have Victor batwing labels, as pictured. The first two are 12" diameter. Standard VJM visual grading:
35504: Golden and Marlowe, The Insect Powder Agent / Henry Attempts Suicide. V+ to E- condition
35544: G & M, Matrimonial Difficulties / A Love Sick Darky. V+ to E- BUT small needle dig 10 grvs side 2, audible, passes.
16557: Golden and Hughes, Darky School Days / [rev. Billy Murray.] V to V+
17300: G & H, The Darktown Editors / [rev. Collins & Harlan.] V+
