 Someones Band, debut LP

ORIGINAL COPY. FIRST UK PRESSING. Released 1970.  Stereo. Deram Records, catalogue number; SML 1068, matrix stamper numbers; XZAL-9879/80-P-2W.

 One of the rarest LPs on Deram, this is a great UK psychedelic LP of original material with a bluesy psychy-guitar edge and rasping lead vocals. Their first and only release, sounding a little like Family, John Martyn or Jethro Tull. Currently being sold by Psychotron records for £250. Produced by Steve Stevenson.

Overall Sleeve Condition : EXCELLENT (NEAR MINT). Original company polylined inner sleeve included.

Front cover:   Laminated front cover. The laminate sleeve is glossy, with bright, unfaded colours. A few tiny creases.

Rear cover:   Matt rear cover, very light ringwear and a few tiny creases.

Edges/Corners/Opening Slit:  No tears, no seam splits. Very light rubs to the bottom two corners.

Vinyl Condition, Visual: MINT

Looks superb and unplayed. One or two fingermarks in the runout groove on side 2. A tiny lightmark on side 1 probably caused by removing record from the sleeve..

Vinyl Condition, Audible: MINT

An outstanding copy. Bloody superb. No skips, no jumps, no static crackle, no dust crackles, no sign of any play, no wear. Plays superbly.  Well preserved and cared for, no decrease from the original sound quality. Kept in stunning condition by the previous owner. No effect from above very light mark.

UK Record Collector Grading System:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (US version of this term: Near Mint): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (US version of this term: VG++): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (US version of this term: VG): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits etc.
