Sonic Youth was an American rock band based in New York City, formed in 1981. Founding members Thurston Moore (guitar, vocals), Kim Gordon (bass, vocals, guitar), Lee Ranaldo (guitar, vocals) and Steve Shelley (drums).
Goo is the sixth studio album by American alternative rock band Sonic Youth, released on June 26, 1990 by DGC Records. For this album, the band sought to expand upon its trademark alternating guitar arrangements and the layered sound of their previous album Daydream Nation.
Sonic Youth had been rocking the f### out from the git-go; they were just doing it in a language that most people didn't understand.

It has been kept in storage in a smoke free household. It is from a large and varied record collection, not a DJ collection. This record has never been DJed and is in generally good condition.
There is evidence of foxing on the record sleeve from being in storage.
On Side One, straight before track 1, 'Dirty Boots' there are a series of crackles and several pops. There are a series of three then two pops & two crackles before the end of this track. Right at the start of track 2, 'Tunic' there are a few crackles and a pop, then towards the end again crackles. Between tracks 2 and track 3, there are a series of crackles. Then a large pop immediately before 'Mary-Christ. Between tracks 3 and tracks 4 there are several crackles and a pop. And again between tracks 4 and tracks 5, there are a pop then a few crackles.
Flip the lid onto Side Two. On the first track there are three crackles before the bass kicks in on 'My Friend Goo'. Next, there is a small crackle just before the 2nd track, 'Disappearer'. Then is a crackle just before the opening bars of 'Mildred Pierce'. Right after the last bit of feedback at the end of 'Titanium Exposé' there are two crackle pops.
