A true rarity, the two LP limited edition "Walls Have Ears" release in immaculate condition complete with graffitti-soaked inner sleeves. As the story goes, Thurston Moore proposed releasing these performances - capturing the moment when the UK music press annointed Sonic Youth as the bravest new vibe in rock music - then changed his mind...Whilst the Blast First label to whom SY were signed at the time simply went ahead and released it anyway on their semi-official authorised bootleg label. The band found out and asked for the record to be withdrawn so beyond an actual bootlegging onto CD performed in the early nineties only around 2000 copies of gatefold double-LP vinyl release made it into the big wide world.

Why am I selling it...? Because I've owned it for nine years and been too terrified of damaging it to actually play it. So I've decided to sell it and put the proceeds toward buying a dress for a dear and very expensive girlfriend of mine...Strange but true.

I'll only send it with insurance and as well packaged as I can manage because I definitely want to see this reach a good home.

As per the information at sonicyouth.com this isn't the first pressing of 2000, it is in fact part of the second unnumbered 'official' pressing. It isn't a bootleg and does include the full decorated inner sleeves for each LP.
