Description
Iam putting up for auction out of my collection a rare, mono, self-titled Jazz LP by the Sonny Clark Trio. Blue Note Records. BLP 1579. 1957. Featuring Paul Chambers on bass and "Philly" Joe Jones on drums. RARE ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING! DEEP GROOVE PRESSING! "47 WEST 63rd • NYC" ADDRESS ON BOTH LABELS! Both sides' Trail-Off's have the "ear" and stamped "RVG"! NO "?" SYMBOL AT THE BOTTOM OF BOTH LABELS! Front of cover is laminated. "47 WEST 63rd St., New York 23" ADDRESS, BOTTOM-CENTER, ON BACK OF COVER. Record's edges are raised. Comes with original Blue Note Records inner sleeve . Address at bottom of inner sleeve is "43 WEST 61st ST. NEW YORK 23, N.Y." Cover is a STRONG VG+ VG++ condition. Front is beautiful. Back of cover has a little browning and spots around the edges. Far right corner has a small brown mark. Front Lamination looks nice. The only flaw is someone wrote on the top left corner a name and a few penciled in digits. (See pictures) I would rate the record’s condition as a VG+++ to M-. Looks Great with nice gloss and shine. Only one or two surface marks which does not effect play. Sounds great with no surface noise. I have Numerous Original Blue Note records and this is the best in the collection. Does it have an occasional crackle which are hardly audible yes. However, I do not know of any new record that doesn't. I bought this years ago in M- condition and paid dearly for it. I rarely play it and would prefer to sell local that way you are welcome to listen to it
