Description

This is an original copy of the live album Sonny Rollins- 'A Night at the Village Vanguard' on Blue Note records, recorded in 1957. It features tenor saxophonist Sonny Rollins and various personnel in a pianoless trio at the famous Village Vanguard jazz club in New York.  Details: (I use the standard Goldmine grading system)  Cover/jacket- VG. The jacket is laminated, framed on 3 sides, and the back slick does not contain an address of production. There is bumping on the bottom right front corner as well as warp, and the beginning of splitting on two sides, though separation has not occured. The back cover has slight spotting and a white price tag in the top right corner.  Record- VG. Both sides have the address of '47 W. 63rd st. NYC ' on the labels. There are deep grooves on both sides and there are no INC or trademark 'r' symbols anywhere on the labels. Both sides feature the initials 'RVG' and the Playstilite P or 'ear' in the deadwax.  There are many scuffs from sleeves and stray marks all over the record. There is some surface noise in quiet passages. There are two long marks that cause  audible pops on tracks 1 and 2. There are no skips on any part of the LP.
