Description
Up for auction is a rare original deep groove mono pressing of the Sonny Rollins 'Saxophone Colossus' LP on Prestige PRLP-7079. Other musicians include Tommy Flanagan, Max Roach, and Doug Watkins.
Record info:
Solid VG+ with one scuff at the beginning of side two being it's main flaw. It ticks for around 10 turns but is not overbearing and the rest of the record is quite clean with some minor surface noise. It plays great!
Cover info:
Strong VG+ with solid seams with very minor corner wear and one dinged corner. The cover has a drill hole in middle blue area and some slight dishing on one corner from improper storage. The back cover has an area of folded back artwork at artwork slick (white area) on top left and a 'Preview Copy' promo stamp. It comes with the original Prestige Records inner sleeve.
Label / Pressing info:
Original yellow/black 203 S. Washington address label, deep groove, drill hole, with RVG stamp on both sides in the dead wax area.
Buy with confidence. I grade conservatively. I’ve been selling vinyl since 1976. All records are cleaned with a VPI professional record cleaner and are shipped with records outside the covers to avoid seam damage.
Shipping for US customers is $4 for media mail or $10 for Priority mail. For high value items I would recommend adding insurance.
