Description
This is the DCC limited edition audiophile reissue from 1996, remastered by Steve Hoffman from the original master tapes using all vacuum tube equipment and pressed on 180g vinyl. I've owned this record from new, played it a handful of times in the past but not at all in the last 12 years. Track listings, personnel and other information can be seen on the back of the sleeve in one of the photographs. This copy is limited edition number 2245.
Grade (sleeve first) using the Record Collector grading scheme, reproduced below: EX-/VG+>
The sleeve has some slight damage to the bottom left corner (as seen from the front), please review the photos to see for yourself.
There is a faint silvery streak (about 1mm wide ) over the first half of track 1 side 2. It isn't a scratch, more like some kind of surface contamination, possibly from prolonged contact with the inner sleeve while the record was stored unused. I've play tested this track and there is an audible 'click' that repeats 4 times at the beginning of the track but I didn't hear any surface noise thereafter so the silvery mark described above doesn't seem to generate any noise, at least on my record player (Rega P3/RB300/Elys). The rest of the record looks clean.

Record Collector grading scheme:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
