Okay, try and find another copy like this. Promo copy with Sample Not For Sale on the label of Side One only. Mono. Original first pressing of this classic LP on the London label of Japan manufactured by the King Record Co., LTD. Tokyo, Japan in 1957. This even has the original shrink wrap which is is starting to tear along the bottom ridge. Mono pressings from any era are very rare for this recording. Vinyl condition is very nice. Side One plays Near Mint with a very warm and full midrange and a deep bottom similar to the sound of a USA pressing. Side Two is not as clean but overall pretty nice. Side Two has some low level clicking the first twenty seconds or so as the side begins. The rest of the side is excellent except for the track "No Greater Love" that has some low level scratches but not too bad. Please be aware of this before purchasing. Still, the condition overall is far better than 95% of LP's from this era and here is a pressing that rarely turns up at all. The original white inner sleeve is included. There are three places with scotch tape about 3/4" wide where the record meets the edges on the inner sleeve. The cover is in very nice condition. Deep groove on label. Heavy vinyl,very unlike later pressings. Lowest matrix number I have seen for this. Side One DLBT - 19 B-1-1. Side Two DLBT 20-1-1. Back story on this LP...In the mid 1990's at a record flea market in Pasadena, CA a seller set up with about 9 or 10 boxes of mint condition (many sealed) LP's all from the Contemporary label for sale. I was one of the record dealers that day and there was a frenzy of activity as they quickly sold almost all of the records. This was my prize piece I acquired. Those records probably came from the Contemporary label's Los Angeles CA storage. Check my feedback for strict play grading, fast service and sturdy packing.
