Description

Sonny Rollins Saxophone Colossus Prestige PRT-7326 1972 Stereo Reissue

Plays great - all tracks are crystal clear and very low noise level - mostly inaudible. At most a few tiny tiny pops or crackles at boundaries of tracks - meaning some tiny pop at the very beginning or ending of a track. Once the track gets underway - very smooth.

1972 reissue of 1957 recording -- Absolute masterpiece and widely considered one of Sonny Rollins' most important & influential recordings.

Blue 7 had an enormous historic influence on the conception and development of jazz improvisation.

Sonny Rollins - tenor sax

Tommy Flanagan - piano

Doug Watkins - bass

Max Roach - drums

In contrast to condition of vinyl - Album cover shows some ringwear - and some seams have some tearing..

So if the cover is more important than the actual vinyl, this one's not for you. If quality of sound is more important than this is a good choice.

If you bought this LP with a new cover in great shape- the total cost would be about $150....

Will ship USPS Media mail to valid US addresses within 3 business days of cleared payment.

As I'm just an individual seller, not a pro collector or dealer -- It's generally my policy to not accept returns -- I carefully study and describe all material aspects of the vinyl and the cover. I'm happy to answer any questions, provide more pics or even brief audio sample clips of the actual record playing.

I'm always interested in any buyer concerns and should any arise I will do my utmost to make sure the buyer is happy.

I offer multiple lp discounts -- so if you look over what I'm selling (I'm in the process of listing a large collection) and see more than one item you're interested in -- message me -- I can definitely give you a decent discount.
