Description

Riverside Folklore Series 12-644, "Sonny Terry and His Mouth Harp" Sonny Terry, vocals and harmonica; Alec Stewart (=Seward), guitar, from 1953. Original white-label DG vinyl plays partly at NM, partly at VG+ or VG++ with slight static and occasional ticks. The laminated jacket has strong seams all around with some corner wear. There is moisture staining on back at upper and lower right (see scan). The jacket back is basically clean. Songs are "In the Evening", "Kansas City", "John Henry", "Fox Chase", "Louise Blues", "Red River", "Goodbye Leadbelly", "Custard Pie", "I Woke Up This Morning", "Old Woman Blues", "Talkin' about the Blues", "Chain the Lock on My Door", "Moanin' and Mournin'", and "Baby, Baby". Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $16.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. A few record labels such as Folkways may be slightly more expensive to ship overseas. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge. .
