Description

"Sounds of Corvette" 7" One-Sided Single

This is a wonderful piece of automobile history: a 7" single with picture sleeve promoting the 1961 Corvette. Issued, of course, by Chevrolet, the single features K.E.Staley, Chevrolet's General Sales Manager providing a sales pitch for the '61 Corvette, and Zora Arkus-Duntov, 'World-famous sports car driver and automotive engineer.' This 7" vinyl single plays at 33RPM and is one sided.

Here are a couple of mp3 samples from the single to listen to:

Sound Clip 1: Corvette 1 - CLICK HERE!

Sound Clip 2: Corvette 2 - CLICK HERE!

Wow! Totally smokin'! I don't know what I like more: the tech talk, the rumble of the V-8 engine as it slams you back in your bucket seat and you listen to the whine of the engine as the driver climbs through the gears, or the 'Dr. Strangelove' accent of Zora Arkus-Duntov!

CONDITION -
Jacket: EX- with a little light ringwear and edgewear; seams are all fine; lower left corner has some creasing; no writing, tears or stickers.
Vinyl: EX- with a couple of light surface marks; vinyl is bright, clean and glossy. On playback, some background noise is audible (not unusual with spoken word on vinyl). TRACK LISTING BELOW
