Description
Southside Johnny & the Asbury Live at the Bottom Line, “Jukes Live” with Ronnie Spector on the last track.
CBS AS 275, USA
This is a demonstration copy from 1976 taken from a tape of the Asbury Jukes live at the Bottom Line, October 16th & 17th, 1976.
I have only seen a four of these sold on-line with the introductory letter. A signature by Miami Steve is part of the printed letter. There is only one that was personally signed apart from mine which is also personally signed by Southside Johnnie and someone else.
I acquired this while working in a record shop in the early 80s. What makes this unique is that the band signed the front for me when I saw them play at The Brook in Southampton. There are 7 autographs in total.
I have no idea what this is worth. I am “testing the water” by initially listing this at £60.
Track listing by request.
I grade all my records aurally, playing them all the way through, sometimes twice to make sure I’ve missed nothing. I don’t grade by appearance.
Vinyl: VG-, Surface noise is audible at times, mostly during the first half of each side. For a few short periods it’s a bit louder. This might be due to the original pressing which had a limited run.
I’ve never heard another copy so can’t make a comparison. In the letter Miami Steve writes “The tape in general is, well, basic”.
The music is nevertheless enjoyable, and captures the essence of the band’s live act
Cover: VG-, Wear to the top and bottom edges, spine and corners. Some light creases on the front along the spine. No writing.
Inner Sleeve: New, white.
Labels: EX-, A couple of light spindle marks.
Please ask for overseas postal costs.
Due to disability I can usually only get to a post office once or twice a week.
All records will be posted in mailers with cardboard stiffeners. Compensation up to £100 is included in the postage. I always obtain proof of posting but if your item goes missing then I will not be able to refund you until 15 working days from the date of posting, as this is when Royal Mail class an item as lost. If your item hasn't been delivered after this time I will give you full refund upon receipt of details required for the claim form.
A brief introduction. I have been selling unwanted possessions on ebay for some years now. I'm now starting to list part of my record collection which goes back to the early 60s. There will be a variety of genres and rarities such as 1st. pressings of "Up for the Down Stroke", "Let it Be" boxed and "Threads of Life" to be listed in the coming months.
All records will be graded using the Record Collector guidelines (see below). If in doubt I will err on the side of caution. Every record will be play graded after being cleaned on a Clearaudio Smart Matrix record cleaning machine. You will not find expressions such as "Wow" "Best you'll ever see" or "Amazing" in my listings. I am proud of my 100% feedback and hope that will remain the case…customer satisfaction is paramount to me. I offer a 7 day return policy if the item is damaged or not as described. If you believe that my description is innacurate, please let me know.
Below is some of the feedback that I've received from record sales:
