Description
Split single featuring two Velvet Underground covers: Nirvana's "Here She Comes Now" b/w the Melvins' "Venus in Furs." Released on the Communion Label in 1991. I purchased this single myself used from Amoeba Records in 1997. Green vinyl. Limited edition of 1000. I have only played the record once. Record itself is in MINT condition, the sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition (very slight wear, no creases).
On Feb-11-14 at 10:07:30 PST, seller added the following information: IMPORTANT NOTE: It has come to my attention that there are counterfeit versions of this record out there. I was directed to www.sliver.it/nirvana, where the details regarding such counterfeits are posted in detail. Indeed, my record's vinyl is "bottle green," a color which apparently has been counterfeited in the past. However, my record's sleeve is BLACK, not dull grey. The "Special Low Price" in the lower, left-hand corner of the sleeve is identical in size, font and placement to that of an original. The label on the record itself is the correct 91mm in width, not the counterfeit 84mm. Finally, the hand-written text in the matrix (center of the record) is correctly oriented toward the label, not away from it. I could not in good conscience offer for sale an item which I knew or even suspected to be counterfeit. I urge all interested bidders to visit www.sliver.it/nirvana and come to their own conclusions. Again, I have owned this record since approximately 1997, when I purchased it for $10 from Amoeba Records in Berkeley, CA, one of the most reputable record stores in the nation. I have also added two more photos that demonstrate this record's authenticity. Please compare these photos to the ones on www.sliver.it/nirvana. (Unfortunately, it was impossible to photograph the text in the matrix because it is etched very lightly and wouldn't show up on camera, but it too is correct and indicates that this record is not a counterfeit.)
