Draw Closer To Him Dear Listeners, The Burton Singers include Brother Harlen Burton, LEAD SINGER, Jill and Melanie Burton, FIRST and SECOND SOPRANO SINGERS, respectively, and Sister Marlene Bur- ton, ALTO SINGER. A minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Brother Burton is now doing evangelical work. While at home, he co-labors with Brother William Wilson, pastor of the Church of God on Possum Road in Springfield, Ohio; and Brother Norman Claypool, assistant minister. Brother Burton is the husband of Sister Marlene and the father of Melanie and Jill. Jill, 16, is a junior at Springfield South High School; Melanie, 18, is a freshman at Wittenberg University in Springfield. Saved and sanctified, both girls are living for the Lord by the grace of God. Dedicated to the cause of Christ, Sister Burton com- posed the last verses of “Behold, What Manner of Love” and “When He Set Me Free”. She is the pianist for the group, which has been singing together for two years. To praise and glorify God and to win souls to Him is our main goal in life. We sincerely hope that this record will be an inspiration and encouragement to our listeners. We truly appreciate the dedication of Sister Kathy Scheerschmidt, organist; and Brother Norman Claypool, bass guitarist, toward the making of this record.
