People often find I grade and price albums as VG that others would call a VG+. This isn't the case with every record but if it is close I will go with the lower grade.
Higher End VG record and Sleeve
Very Good (VG) Some surface noise may be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music. Groove wear may start to be noticeable, as with light scratches. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers.
