Description

Recorded "live" at the Storyville Club, Boston, 1951. The Stan Getz Quintet with leader, Getz, tenor sax; Al Haig, piano; Jimmy Raney, guitar; Teddy Kotick, bass; Tiny Kahn, drums. 4 tracks. During this period, Getz was referred to as "The Sound".

Cover: VG++ Intact and clean with slight edge and corner wear. Very light aging on the back cover. The back cover is stamped lightly with store identification: Seymour's Record Mart, Chicago in the top margin.

Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. No markings on the vinyl surface. Except for a few light clicks and a small amount of light background groove noise for very short intervals, no surface noise. This light noise can be attributed to the early Roost pressing. This is a particularly good copy with a minimum of interference. Audibly checked.
