Description

An original 1st press of CO on the UK Warners label. Matrix A5/B7. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Shorewood Packaging cover. Also included is the original 'made in England' inner sleeve from the time.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Bear in mind that this release is largely orchestral so any background is really going to stuff things up for the listener. I'm pleased to report a clean and assured level of performance which delivers a terrific rendition. Even in those quiet Tudor moments! The only one spot it dips below the given grading is track 1 [which has perhaps just seen a touch more use]. I could detect a couple of isolated crackles here and there. But that's it really. A very fine player with no significant issues.
Cover (Vg+) I imagine finding these white covers in decent condition can be a bit of a task. This one looks a lot better than many of the other examples I can see on-line. Clean front and back and doesn't seem to have been affected that much by the ageing process. There's the remnants of a number stamp top right on the back and a tiny sticker residue mark top right on the front. Edge wear is light and the openings still sharpish. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) A one inch side split and a couple of small stains in the top corners.
