Description

Here's a copy The Stark Reality Discovers Hoagy Carmichael's Music Shop, AJP 5166/5167.  (Note: I auctioned this very record in April. It went for a bit over $500. Check it out on popsike. Anyway, the fellow who placed the winning bid forgot the pesky payment aspect of the ebay transaction.  I like the record, so rather than relisting it, I continued to keep it around to play occasionally, and to lord over my friends, who don't have it.  I have decided to sell it once again. Below is the description I gave then, which applies equally now.  Although it would seem to go without saying, I would request that whoever submits the winning bid this time actually pay for the album. But enough with the unpleasant stuff)...

This is a 1970 LP by Monty Stark and a bunch of other guys, full of samples, strange children's music, etc. This is extremely rare, as y'all presumably know.  Cover grades strong VG+, with following defects: 1) as visible in photo, it was sold at CSC, which placed non-removable tape at center of mouth, residue of which is left on front and back; 2) it has the round white DJ sticker you see at lower left; 3) it has light to moderate age spotting or foxing in various spots.  All seams are nice, and there is no writing. Inside of gatefold is very clean.  Disc one (sides 1 and 4) is grades VG++, with a few stray scuffs, but nothing significant.  Disc 2 (sides 2 and 3) grades strong VG+, with a few more scuffs, including two that are visible on "Grandfather Clock," but did not sound on my table.  Very strong copy of an extremely rare LP. US shipping is $7 priority mail, plus insurance (usually optional, but not for this LP).  Overseas airmail shipping is $12 to Europe or $14 to Asia, plus insurance or special handling. This LP will not be mailed cheaply, and arrive in pieces. All overseas buyers must use Paypal.  I also prefer Paypal for domestic bidders, but other methods work, too. Thanks for looking, and please email any questions -- Paul
