Description
For auction is a copy of The Stark Reality "Say Brother" 45 RPM 7" Original Pressing Promotional Copy on Big Yellow Records, USA circa 1968.
Here is a very rare promotional copy of "Say Brother" by The Stark Reality. For those who don't know, "Say Brother" was the theme tune to the sixties American television program of the same name. Monty Stark was asked by WGBH TV to compose and perform a fitting title track to the program, which this 45 is the result of. The Stark Reality's original vinyl has become collectable amongst beatheads and psych/funk DJ's alike for it's sheer quality. Just listen to Monty Stark play the Vibes and Phil Morrison bend that bass line and you will understand what all the fuss is about. This 45 pre-dates "The Stark Reality Discover Hoagy Charmichaels Music Shop" and to my knowledge, hasn't been reissued on vinyl.
The B side of this 45 is just a shortened version of the A.
