Email with questions.  Visual, conservative grading.  I give my honest, overall, subjective impression of the LP, especially the playing surface.  Here are some facts collectors and purchasers might choose to bear in mind: Even brand new records come from the factory with imperfections, and sometimes do not play perfectly right out of the sleeve due to leftover pressing compound, or pressing bubbles, or a puff of dust from an open window on the second floor of the factory on a windy day when a storm has blown through town after a butterfly flapped its wings in Brazil, etc.  Remember this is a man-made object, and it is therefore not perfect.  If perfection is your goal whilst on eBay, please consider purchasing CDs and a nice DAC, or records from a different collector.  Or therapy.

NEAR MINT: This is the highest possible grade.  Virtually or visually flawless but may have a light hairline or very minor marks that *should* not affect play.  The occasional light pop or tic should be something that the buyer admits into their universe as the possible, occasional by-product of playing vinyl, caused by seen or unseen realities in the world around us all.  NM LPs are generally, visually, (remarkably!) perfect-looking, and will give you great enjoyment of some terrific music.  Many may even look unplayed and EVEN THESE may make a noise.  

NEAR MINT-: As opposed to virtually or visually flawless, this record is visually not flawless; it has minor incidence of marks that should not affect play.  It is essentially a NM record except for some thing.

There is no EXCELLENT grade, don’t be silly.

VERY GOOD+: Slight signs of wear or handling.  Marks are more prevalent; scratches can’t be felt with a fingernail.

VERY GOOD: Will have a scratch that is deep enough to be felt by a fingernail or, occasionally, just significant enough wear that I feel uncomfortable typing a “+” after the VG.  Probably there will be surface noise at least at the part where that scratch is, but everyone’s system is different, and your stylus may be so good and get so deep into the groove that you don’t even hear it.  Either way this copy is a bargain, given its value were it NM!
